Green Hatch Chiles


 
Bought 10 pounds of xtra hot today at Ralph's. Came out to almost 100 chiles. Would have bought more but freezer space is at a premium.
 
I lived in Albuquerque for a few months back in the late 90's. Seeing all these photos of Hatch chiles brings back some good culinary memories. Great post.
 
Tomorrow is the big day. Pick up in the morning then peeling, seeding, chopping. My wife has the canning jars and food saver ready to go. Man, the car is going to smell great. Maybe I can market the smell for auto air freshener at the car wash! Forget lemon and piña colada!
