I got a cable to wire up the fan today and when I initially tested it the speed didn't vary no matter what I did.
Did some searching and checked the voltage and (surprise, surprise) I had it wired to the 5V lead.
I cut all the wires and then just put a V-meter on each and then changed the setpoint and voila, found the lead that went from 0 to 12V and soldered it in.
Proceeded to get our electric water pot and put the TC in and turned it on.
Set temp was 170, fan ran 100% until it approached 170 and then turned off.
Set the alerts to text and email me for thresholds on the probe and those worked too.
I think we're good to go for our first live cook!
Just need to figure out how to attach the fan/blower to the BBQ Guru adapter for the Weber smoker - ideas welcome
Thanks for all the help Bryan and others! Whoo-Hoo!
