Good sauce recipe

I am looking for a good recipe to start with for a thick sweet sauce. Any suggestions?

Try this sauce. I have never made this particular one but have made another version of it.

You can also use pepsi/coke or root beer in place of the Dr Pepper.

If you want it thicker just reduce it on the stove.

I'm working on a honey/maple and whiskey/bourbon sauce for my guests who like sweet but haven't got it quite there yet.

An option could be No.5 cut the vinegar by 1/3. Add brown sugar till you like it....

Or this. Simmer uncovered till reduced to desired thickness.
