It must be the time of year. Last week, Safeway had butts (pork shoulder blade roasts) on sale for $0.97/lb so I picked up two. (One for the freezer and one is in the WSM now). Yesterday, Thriftway had butts on sale at $0.99/lb. I couldn't just walk on by, so I picked up two more for the freezer. I think I'm pretty well stocked for a while. Its time to try this Buckboard Bacon recipe Bruce has been sharing with us and plan a butt & brisket dinner party. (The only time I can justify cooking both butt and brisket, which I love to cook together, is if we feed a bunch of folks with 'em)
