I am relatively new to the scene. Used a generic Brinkman gas grill for many years. Bought a 22" Weber kettle 2 years ago and a 18" WSM this spring. I started with smoking ribs and butts on the kettle and believe that I am doing pretty well. Seem to be able to control the temp without too much trouble and like the fact that everything is accessible when working with the kettle and that cleaning up is easy. While I have prepared some good ribs on the WSM as well, I am not sure whether I am really more impressed with the WSM than I was (and still am) with the kettle....... I hope to be able to learn a lot from y'all.
