Good bye Philly…Hello St. Augustine

Our condo association does not permit gas or charcoal grills. I bought a Weber Q electric. It is challenging to master when I am accustomed to creating a five alarm fire on my former gas grill while cooking steaks. I love the char. Any ideas on how to replicate this effect? And where is the electric grill forum. I don’t see it in Search forums. Thanks. John O

What made you pick St. Augustine?
 
You might look into an electric pizza oven as an addition. They make cast iron dishes for broiling. Preheat to get the CI smoking hot and then broil and sear.
 
St Augustine is really nice, we looked at Port St. Lucie. Then I started looking at TN and then KY. But right now Northern CA is back on the list, which is funny because I've been looking to get out of CA for the longest time
