Genesis Gold temperature and cover questions

Hi all, I have recently scored a Genesis Gold and being a newbie on this model I have a couple of questions.
What temperature should I expect at the grill? Currently reading only 233C (450F) which seems a bit low compared to my Q's.
Does anyone have any experience with the KingKong Grill Cover 7552? Site claims it fits Genesis Gold but the dimensions are less than the specs Weber supply for the gold.

Shane, Welcome to the forum.
450 is a bit low for that grill, but keep in mind that those lid thermometers are not all that accurate and they only measure the temp at their position under the lid. You grate level temp might be much higher than what you are seeing on the lid thermometer.

King Kong covers generally have a good reputation, but I have no experience with the specific model you listed.
