0000 steel wool and simple green?
What can I expect, do they clean up or is it faded from the sun.

Will try Sunday any advice appreciated.
Thanks.

It will look better after the steel wool and simple green, but it does look it has some fade. The knobs and igniter clean up really nice if you soak them in hot water, bleach, and a little dish soap before giving them a scrub.

I agree the screw type is the way to go. I think you can still order the screw type and I will if I run out.

Weber part #668

They don't work too good on the control panels that use the plugs unfortunately.

I used automotive plugs, not the best fit but, they were effective. They work once, like most auto trim parts, I’m planning on sheet metal screws when I get the stainless monster done.

Pics when you're done, would be nice, Tim.
ME? Well, I failed to take any “before” pictures so, I’ll wait until I’m in “after” stages for any pictures.
But, I will when/if the damned thing ever gets finished!
This seems to be the “headache of the moment”!

Well that came off surprisingly easy.

I have some used knobs and an igniter switch coming in soon, I will make the swap and clean that next weekend.

The only other thing I’m doing to this grill for now is a new “old” handle that isn’t broken.

Im pretty content with all of that at this point.
Ready for football season!! Go Niners!!
