Hi there,
I have been using and loving my Genesis 1000 since I inherited it 10 years ago. It is awesome, never breaks down, always reliable, cooks better than my friends' new non-weber grills.
A few years ago I replaced the 8 flavorizer bars that run front to back. Recently I learned that there are actually supposed to be 4 long ones that run side to side, below the 8. I've never missed them, and am wondering if I should bother to ahead and buy and install them...I can't imagine this workhorse performing any better, but what might I be missing by not having those long bars in?
Thanks,
Drew
