Gasket Question

I was thinking about getting the gasket kit for my 22in WSM. I just don't like the fit of my door. For those of you that have them, would you say it is worth it?

I've not heard of anyone on this site who has installed Nomex Gasket material that has regretted it. The doors on the 22's are so big they can be tricky to keep air tight. Nomex will make your smoker operate a little differently. I've done two WSMs, both 18.5's. I have no regrets. There are plenty of posts here if you search.

Assuming you still have the OEM "reynolds wrap" door and not an aftermarket/upgrade like the Cajun Bandit?
Did you try tweaking (bending) it around for a better fit? It doesn't have to be a perfect fit, but the stock door is a POS

Get the gasket. I love mine. Put it on when I got my WSM. No leaks. Temps are pretty stable. Got even better and easier when a built my heater meter. Good luck!
