Fungus on the wood

Looked at my wood supply the other day an noticed a little fungus growing on some of the wood. Is it worth saving or tossing.

I figure if the wood it engulfed in flames the fungus don't have a chance and it would probably burn off before I insert my meat in the cooker.

Any thoughts?

With any luck the fungus will impart hallucinogenic properties to the meat and your ribs will sing fireside cowboy songs to you.
