So as long as I have been cooking, anything, I have never liked the lemon pepper seasoning that you can buy. It just has a funny taste to me whether its on chicken, fish, etc. I just don't think the lemon part taste right. So I never use it but the guys I work with like to use it to cook fairly frequently and I have to suffer through

The other day I went to make some shrimp skewers and I used Weber's Mango Lime. Blah! To me it was horrible.

I love some of the other Weber seasonings, especially the "steak and chop", but not the ML.

Does anyone else have an aversion to "fruit" seasonings?

Just wondering

Go Spicey. A little chilli powder & butter would have gone nicely with the shrimp on the barbi

Yea Rick I also don't care for LP. I made a few rubs with dehydrated fruit which I ran thru the FP, and while they tasted great on my finger, they lost it after cooking.
I prefer to use them in a sauce or glaze right at the end.
McCormick's makes an Apple-wood rub which I've used on Butts before and that's OK, but you can't taste any apple IMO.
