Fresh Ham BRT

Thinking I'd like to cook a fresh ham BRT (boned, rolled and tied) but have no idea where I might locate one in the Kansas City area. I have a friend who runs a BBQ joint about 100 miles away, so I could *probably* get one from him if I wanted to make the drive. But hopefully I can find one (or two or three..) closer to home.

Assuming I do manage to procure one, does anyone have any particular tips on cooking it on my WSM?
 
I used to go to Steve's Meat Market in DeSoto, KS to get my meat when I was still living in the KC area. I don't know how close that is to you, and I'm not sure if the quality is still as good because I haven't been there in probably 4 years.
