Freezing Fresh Brisket

Does anyone here buy fresh brisket and freeze it? Yesterday I cooked a fresh Angus Brisket. It was awesome. I do not have the opportunity to order Angus briskets locally. I read about memebers on this site choosing brands and grades. That option is not been available to me. A choice brisket in my town is a matter of yes or no.
I can buy the quality I want but they're a couple of hours away and I would want to buy 3 or 4 if I were to order them and would have to drive there to pick them up. Would I be better off doing that and freezing them or just accepting whatever in cryovac?

All Beef freezes well in Cryovac.
Edit: I misread You're post.. If you have a vac seal, I would use that.

Thanks for your input Tim and Dave. I'm thinking I will order the ANGUS briskets and freeze them. Yes I do have a Food Saver Pro II model so I can vacuum seal them.

We just received 4 briskets from Snake River Farms, all frozen. I am going to assume, given SRF reputation, that they will cook just fine once they are thawed. I hope

I just called the packing company I bought the brisket from. They will cryovac for me if I wish and they will supply me with Angus dry aged 3 weeks. I don't think it gets much better than that.:)

You're going to love the Angus ones, can't wait to see your pics Gary.

Tim the one I just cooked posted under Fresh Brisket was dry aged 3 weeks. Mind you I did not know that at the time, I knew it was aged and it was Angus but I did not know three weeks. My wife says it was the best. I dumped juice on the deck so that kind of ruined some of the pics I would have taken but it was really really good. Guaranteed I will be cooking more.:wsm:

Yep, I think they all come frozen. At least, I've seen some references to getting them thawed out on BBQ Pitmasters, where I learned about SRF.

I'm sure those are going to be delicious. I keep wanting to order some, but $300 for 3 briskets (shipped) keeps putting me off of them. Maybe I'll do it for a special occasion after I get "my" recipe figured out (still experimenting).

We have been paying $115 each for Creekstone Prime briskets so the SRF Wagyu ends up being the same price. Our next comp is the 11th so we'll see......
