Free Genesis 1000 Pick Up with Control Panel Fade


 
You guys that can make wood "sing" constantly amaze me. But then I can make a Rochester Quadrajet "sing" a feat from what I read still is lacking with many "mechanics"
I had a quadrajet on a 400 SB. Actually really like that carburetor on that engine but it was a bit finicky and definitely not in my realm of expertise. When you put it to the floor and those secondaries kick in that's when the fun begins LOL

Yeah they're a little finicky. I used to have a waiting list of customers who would wait for me to make them "right". When I was at GM Tech school back in the 60s we spent a whole week learning them and tracing every port to understand every detail

I definitely could have used your help with mine
 
I remember changing out the metering rods for larger ones in my new 59 Corvette when I went from Chicago to Wilkes-Barre to visit Patsy, who would become my wife 5 months later.
Mpg went from 17 to 19 but it wasn’t as responsive….
