Found something to cook for Thanksgiving

It took me 2 days to find it. None of the stores around me had good ones, but on the second day, Sam's Club restocked and there it was; the perfect turkey.

Ok, it's a brisket. A 15+ lb brisket. The meat looked great and it didn't have much fat for a packer. I couldn't fit briskets this large in my 18.5" WSM but they fit fine in my Smoke EZ/Perfomer setup.

We're eating with neighbors and they're cooking the turkey; we're supposed to bring a covered dish. My wife is bringing potato salad and cheese & apples and I'm bringing my own covered dish. A very large covered dish: brisket, burnt ends, and homemade sauce. I'm tired of being told not to cook on Thanksgiving. I just hope someone eats some of her turkey!:o

edit: It fit perfectly on the Smoke EZ.

Yea Lew, I think your brisket is going to steal the show. I'm not a big fan if turkey. I'll eat it, just not my favorite. I'd rather have ham or......a brisket would be nice. Happy Thanksgiving.

Nice, Lew!

I'm cooking a butt and a brisket on Saturday, a big flat from Restaurant Depot. Family from out of state will not be here for Thanksgiving day, so we are going to have a 'que meal for them on Saturday.
