From the looks of it, he used it as a charcoal grill. I wonder how much work to get the burners / grill grates for that.

Grates are not the problem. You can use wider ones and cut them down. But burners are the problem. They no longer exist. And same applies for the slider grease pan.

Hard to be sure, but it looks like the drip tray is there. I believe Jeff MA had rcplanebuyer or someone convert regular Genesis burners to the Jr. size. The trays are not that big a deal. So, if someone was interested this one may not be beyond restoration. It certainly is worth $10 if only to be parted out. Someone who needed one would gladly pay a good bit more than that for the drip tray alone.

The one posted in another thread listed on FB Marketplace for $60 would be a way better deal, however.
