Food Cross Contamination


 
Vince, this is fine. Just make sure that the beef bacon mix doesn't get over 40F for too long (more than a couple hours) and it's perfectly safe.
 
The butcher shop that we use in Oakland here has a burger patty that it makes with bacon and short rib (they mix and grind both together), most people who try it are fairly enthusiastic about it. you might want to try freezing the bacon and then grinding it into the beef, makes for a great taste.
