Fish Fry for Chicken/Wings?

I cannot seem to find any immediate threads on the topic, but I thought I recall someone posting about using pre-packaged fish fry mixes (in dry form) as a pseudo-breading on chicken wings, thighs etc.

Anyone have experience doing this?
 
Surprised no one has responded yet; Look at the threads for KFC (Kettle Fried Chicken). Most on here use the vortex. I've done it with legs & thighs but not wings.
 
I did some last week on thighs. Ran out of the Louisiana chicken fry mix so used Zatarains fish fry with some S&B ( Shake & Bake) extra crispy.
Kettle,Vortex 40mins done.
 
Okay, I'm guilty of doing just that. Barb and I have used all kinds of coatings to do KFC and yes, I use the vortex.
We do mostly thighs and sometimes wings. We grind up cereal like corn flakes or total and add seasoning to create our own flavor profiles.
Almost anything will work. Started out using fish fry coatings and went on from there.
