First time rib cook on both grills

Apologies if this is a noobie question, I'm scaling up a baby's rib cook - previously I've cooked 2 racks on the top grill but this weekend for the first time I'll be cooking 3 racks each on both the top and bottom grills.

Do I need to do anything differently cooking on both grills? Do I need to add more coal or wood going from 2 racks to 6?

I'll be cooking 3-1-1 (ish) at 250.

Obviously the bottom grill temp is lower than the top - would I be wise to rotate the ribs from the top and bottom grates half way through each cooking stage? e.g after 1.5 - 30 mins - 30 mins?

Personally I couldn't be bothered to rotate. If you need them all done at the exact same time though go for it. The time difference will not be huge though. Remember also that the bottom rack is only cooler if you are using water.

Mark, as Clark mentioned above, what will you be using as a heat sink? If water is used, then expect the lower grate to be about 10-15 degrees lower than the top grate. If a clay saucer is used, expect the lower grate to be about 10-15 degrees higher than the top grate. You won't need additional briquettes or wood.

If it was me, I would rotate the ribs after an hour and a half. After 3 hours, I would foil and throw all of them on the top for an hour and then unfoil and throw 3 on the top and 3 on the bottom for an hour.
