Great looking ribs Bill, I have done 3 smokes on my new 22" and found the grate temp is always higher than the dome.

OK Guys thanks, for you guys that changed the door out to the aftermarket type stainless did you see an improvement as far a temp control?

The aluminum door on mine does not really seal at all, I was thinking of a high temp gasket or a replacement door if you guys have had good experience with them.

I spent an hour reshaping my door when it arrived, fits like a glove now, no leaks

Mine just need minor tweaks and after some cooks, I get no smoke leakage

I did the tweaking, when I first opened the box it was obviously distorted around the knob. fixed that and got it as tight a seal as I could but smoke still drifts out so it is definitely a air leak.
Just ordered the Cajun door.
