First Pork Butt Smoke Question

I bought two bone-in pork butts from BJ's. I only want to smoke one at a time. All the posts I see here are for making two at a time. When I do one at a time, should I adjust the temperature and will it take a shorter time to be done since I am only doing one?

Sure you can freeze it.

I wouldn't see a good reason for putting rub on meat that's raw, and going to be frozen. The rub will be more likely to fall off, as the meat thaws, and condensation forms. Plus I would always use the freshest spices and whatever herbs I choose to use.

I freeze butts all the time, no worries. As Tom mentioned the rub will just fall off if you were to pre rub it before freezing it.
