The SmokeFire is a great BBQ, my one and nearly only complaint is that the use Allen Screws, I hate Allen Screws

First thing I had to do was fix this from the factory

A real PITA too. Did I mention I hate Allen Screws? Had to do some thinking came up with this, which eventually worked

I've burned two bags of Pellets, so I figured it's time for a clean up. I didn't take a before picture, but the grease canals don't really work out so well. The ash mixes with the grease and you get instant goo. Nothing that paper towels won't clean up

Decided to try foiling, not sure how it will work out, I'll know this weekend as I plan to BBQ burgers tomorrow and Ribs on Sunday

All done, half hour later

I had a tough time getting the pellet chute screws out. I believe there's discussion about replacing them with SS? I didn't tighten them up as tight this time around. That's it, the Grill is good to go after burning 40 LBS. I'm thrilled with this grill

Chuck,

I picked up a cheap plastic putty knife set from Home Depot, I use that for scrapping the bottom out. I only do it once and a while, haven't had any issues or "grease fires" at all.

Good luck.
