First cook for the new guy


 
You did fine Frank, good catch by Bob, you owe him a beer some day, I thought the shine was just because it is new. As just a thought, no matter how you are cooking your chicken doing a simple brine overnight makes a world of difference I almost always do it now unless I get caught off guard for a meal
 
I was going to ask in a separate thread, but since you brought it up Bill.....can you brine chicken and still use any rub or sauce? Just not a marinate?
 
I'd say you're off to a fine start, just keep tinkering and it'll be delicious in no time, welcome and keep on experimenting
