Not sure i've said "butt" so many times in a day. Every time I say it, the kids laugh.

6.5 lb trimmed, minion, water, Mr. Brown, on at 6:30 am EST. Holding nice at 225. aiming for a 7:30ish pulled pork and slaw dinner.

I'm not smoking the gloves on the lower rack....showing them as a recent $9 find at Princess Auto in the welding section for the fellow Canucks on the board.

Looks great even before it's cooked. Congrats on the first bb Chuck! Make sure you post some pics of the final product!

Hey, Chuck...welcome to the party.
I know it sounds funny, but constantly saying "bone-in pork shoulder roast" is counter-productive.
If you must use the lower grate, I would suggest a pot of beans to catch some of those drippings instead of your nice, shiny, new gloves.

Came off the grill like this after 13 hours and hitting 190. Tented for 10 minutes under foil.

These pictures don't do it justice. Freaking amazing! Much om nom nom noises from the family. Basic Carolina Red sauce.

Thanks for the tip on the gloves. My 8 year old loves Princess Auto ... good excuse to go there tomorrow.
