Hey all.. First time poster, long time lurker. I recently upgraded to a 18.5" weber and have been extremely happy with the results. So far I've smoked a couple of pork butts and a small brisket and the results have been amazing. I plan on making a couple more butts for a tail-gate party soon!!

I'd like to add a side table to my smoker. Are there any recommendations or something I can buy thats readily available? Thanks all!!!

A. Welcome. Nice Butt. I like a portable side table, one that is easy to move and pack. I made one using 3/4 plywood. Cut to your size specs. I went to Home Depot and bought 2 locking, folding legs, the kind that go under picnic tables. Bolted them on the wood and I have a great side table that is portable and cost very little.

Good luck.

Hi. I just completed the side table mod that's in the mods section of the main site. I did Installation Method #2: A Better Way and it worked out pretty well for me. It's a little unstable if the bungie cord isn't hooked on, but other than that I'm happy with it.

The turnbutton was a little hard to find, but I found it on ebay. The work table is available from Weber. All the other hardware I found locally.

The only thing that wasn't clear to me from the instructions was that you need to thread the hole for the screw with a tap in this step <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> As shown in Picture 7, the fork slides under a screw that I mounted in the flange, </div></BLOCKQUOTE>.

If you decide to go this way, and have questions, let me know and I'll try to help you out.

Welcome A! Good looking meats! Keep 'em coming! Can't help you on the side table, I went a different direction with the 22.5 on my patio.
