I hope I'm not boring you with these updates. I just wanted to show how I finished off the painting of my WSM cart.

I haven't installed the table support yet. A friend at work is going to bend some rod for me when I give him the dimensions.

I will post a pic when it's done and my WSM is on board. Then I promise - no more about this.

After 3 coats of good spar urethane on the natural wood surfaces. The paint's all done.

No, I'm glad you've been sharing updates! This is something I could maybe actually do, with some help from my dad. His dad was big into woodworking, so my dad has picked up on some of the skills-- me, not so much.

I FINALLY got around to installing the brace for my drop down table. I scrounged a length of 3/8 rod at work. (Dumpster diving) my buddy bent it into the correct shape per my design (which I swiped from peter lindfors). I drilled the holes in the wood frame and popped the brace in....fastened a couple wooden blocks on the underside of the table which hold the brace in place when you swing it up......when you are done you just lift the table , the brace drops out and the table folds away. I think I'm going to steal another idea of peters and install a lid hanger on the underside of the table.. Here's a little video...sorry I didn't dress better. My wife says I look like an unmade bed.
