Hey Kaz! Did you ever get the project finished? I want to see how the finished paint looked.

SHAUN!

not yet, bud. I planned on working on it last weekend, but a impromptu Crawfish Boil sprung up. Some buddies were like lets have a boil. They just needed the man with the equipment and know how. So they provideded all the mud bugs, beer, and sides. I had the cooker and "recipe". Was fun. My red ain't going anywhere.

The paint cured very nicely. It looks good, so far. Altough, i haven't taken the tape off yet. I hesitated posting even this. Fupdate, because, i know how much everyone likes pictures. And I'm gonna try to get some this weekend. But I am going to a antique bike show with my "gem", taking the boat out and going fishing, and have to take momma shopping for some new clothes.

Also, I was doing some volunteer work on a memorial for our towns fire fighters, turns out they don't even own a grill! Just knowing them boys don't have a grill and i have this "extra" red weber is killing ME! Its like I want it, but they "NEED" it. We'll see, but my conscious is wearing on me over this.

MORE SOON... WE HOPE.

Hey Kaz, you can always find an old black grill on CL to give the firemen. Who knows maybe one will turn up on the junk pile, just make sure the next black one goes to them,

Brian

IMO

There are really 3 key points which make the red so popular.
1. Unobtanium - no matter how much money you have in the bank you can't go to the store and buy one.
2. Nostalgia - same theory as coca cola out of the glass bottle, sure its the same product in a can. But, memories of fond past times with the classic image are very powerful.
3. Eye Catching - Why are there more red ferrari's than any other color?Would you own a '57 corvette in any color but red? It grabs your eye and says, in a sea of black grills I stand out.

And don't forget the RED ones are magic..
They change colors when you cook on em!
