favorite packers for shoulders???

If you had a choice beteween IBP, Excel, or Hormel, (assuming all are fresh and not brined) for your shoulder what would you choose?

Has any one had better luck with one of these or another??

At diferent times I can find some or all of these at my ocal sams club and am wondering if anyone has a preference.

I love Excel pork butts (BJ'S). Can't get their picnics here just Smithfield (WalMart) which are good too. I love the Excel choice packer brisket also.

ok by the lack of response does that perhaps indicate that the brand of packer isnt a signifigant factor in the finished product? perhaps a shoulder is a shoulder??(as long as its not brined)

I like the Smithfields picnics from Wall Mart. I have also gone to Giants store and bought Hatfields picnics. Eveyone loved them also. The Hatfields are enhanced by the way.

I'm sorry, but I just can't tell the difference between the enhanced/non-enhanced shoulders. 90% of the time, I use the Smithfields because they are always cheaper. ($.98/pound)
