I clicked on the shopping link of this site and was reviewing a few books on barbequing/smoking/grilling as I want to pick one or two up. I own the How to Grill by Raichlen, but want another. Any suggestions?

If you want something that's more than just recipes get Peace, Love and Barbecue by Mike Mills. It has some great recipes and good stories.

Our good friend Ray Lampe, Dr. BBQ, has a new book out with the NFL all about tailgating that is wonderful. I highly suggest this book!

It is called The NFL Gameday Cookbook.

Fun recipes and easy to follow instructions.

Here are the books I use. Dirty little secret you can buy them used on Amazon and they cost just a few dollars each.

Smoke & Spice
by Cheryl Alters Jamison (Author), Bill Jamison (Author)

Paul Kirk's
Championship Barbecue Sauces

Paul Kirk's
Championship Barbecue

Dr. BBQ's Big-Time Barbecue Cookbook
by Ray Lampe (Author)

Smoke and Spice almost a bible to many on this board. Paul Kirk has more recipies than you will ever use. But if you are looking for simple BBQ sauce or one that is complicated this is a great book.

Championship BBQ teaches you how to smoke anything and has many great ideas.

Dr. BBQ is 180 degrees from the other books. I like it because it gives you a very different outlook on sauces an rubs he is not a traditional as Kirk or the Jamisons

Ummm, I thought that's what this site was for....

Paul, Smoke and Spice looks like something I really need. Thanks.
