It looks like when the fan first turns on or off I loose my temp probe reading. The fan can stay on and the probe will come back. It doesn't affect the pit probe (probe 0), only the 3 additional probes.
Are the probes plugged directly into the HM or run through a CAT5 cable? What version HM board are you running? If v4.1 did you do the "white wire mod" yet?
Yah, the HMv4.1 board ended up having a little more noise on the probe lines than most, so Bryan came up with a modification that cuts back on the noise (that can make the probes drop off or lid mode trigger). It was referred to as the "white wire mod", you can read about it on that link...
