Fake burnt ends

Today I wanted to try making burnt ends with a chuck roast. I used my weber kettle at about 260 for most of the cook. It took longer than expected to get to 165 IT as I think it stalled really early. After about 6 hours was 160 IT and I moved to a pan with some beef broth. It only took 1.5 hours to get to 200 IT and it seemed really probe tender. I took off and cubed up and used brown sugar and bbq sauce and put back on grill for about 30 mins. Overall they came out ok. Flavor was good but texture was off. Placed over some mac n cheese and it was a solid meal!

In the end, I think I rather just do ribs for 5-6 hrs. But it was still fun to try something new.

Now lunch was a different story. I used some frozen pulled pork for some bbq nachos... and that was amazing. First time using smoked meat that I had froze. It was still really good!
