He’s asking $150.What is he offering.
I know you do not see that color very often around me.
I would pass on that.He’s asking $150.
That’s helpful advice! Thank you. As I’ve done with guitars, I tend to jump in the deep end and become a bit overwhelmed.Alex, That's a nice looking 2-burner in an uncommon color, but if you are planning on rehabbing and flipping, I would avoid it. 2-burners aren't very good sellers. Just to be sure, keep in mind that hood will not replace the one on the full-size 3-burner you are working on.
Very glad to have you join our board.Take this from someone who came down with a near terminal case of Weberitis. When you first get into this hobby and see so many classic Webers on the online sales boards, it is hard to resist jumping on one after another. I have no room to talk, but suggest you think about what you really want to do in this hobby and try to go slow and steady buying only what fits with your exact goals. If you want to start restoring and flipping, well yeah, getting CHEAP parts grills is an important part of the process. Just do better than I did in figuring out where to store all this stuff!

If you want a few grills just for yourself, do some careful thinking of what ones you really want and be patient until the right thing shows up.
Most of all ENJOY the experience! We are all here to help as best we can.
I guess, to confirm, that 2-burner lid would NOT fit a 3-burner grill/cookbox?Alex, That's a nice looking 2-burner in an uncommon color, but if you are planning on rehabbing and flipping, I would avoid it. 2-burners aren't very good sellers. Correct. The only thing that really interchanges without modification, are the wheels and tank scales.I guess, to confirm, that 2-burner lid would NOT fit a 3-burner grill/cookbox?
thanks Cody!!I would cap out at $25 for a Silver A and that is only if it has the left side folding table. I have yet to rehab one. I do plan on it, with low expectations of a high sale value. I do think there could be a market for smaller grills, but it would be a real niche market aimed at empty nesters.

It's hard to justify firing up something bigger when it's just a couple or few of us. I've found a free 500 a while back to swap the lid onto my later Silver A after seeing your mod. The pins are frozen so I haven't given it a whirl yet. If it was a green or blue hood I probably would have tinkered with it by now.I have gotten lots of great use out of my modded Silver A. I agree, Ed, that it heats up quick and uses less gas. Yet, somehow, it delivers very even cooking in my experience.
