Extention cords and hoses.

I've been reviewing competition check lists on line and most include extention cords and water hoses. My question is how long of cord or cords one needs and why do you need hoses?? If water is provided, I just thought you fill your buckets from a provided water source with their hoses / spickets.

I suggest getting a Coleman 5 gal water carrier off Amazon and take your own. Did a comp last Nov and the water from their water source looked browner than the lake we were next to.

Cords depends on how many things you need to power. I'd suggest at least 100' of heavy cord to get from their hookup to your site then smaller 25-50 footers to run to whatever you need to power. Take a 3 plug splitter or one of the multi plug surge protectors, not for the protection but to be able to plug your other cords in.

^^^ What he said. I would also suggest your longer cords be 12ga, I saw a 16ga melt once. I have been as far as 150 feet from power before. Another consideration, depending on your power needs is a quiet generator. Another thing to consider is a 30amp to 15amp adapter.
