Expert Grill Briquettes.

Stumbled onto a video comparing Kingsford Blue and Expert Grill. They compared flavor, cooking time and the amount of fuel used. The Expert Grill did surprisingly well, so decided to try some. Picked up a bag of their Cherry/Apple flavored, a bag if Mesquite/Pecan flavored and a bag of their regular. Paid just under $6 per 16 lb. bag, so worth a try. Will report my opinion after using them on a few cooks.

I tried a couple bags last year when I had trouble finding Kingsford during the middle of that mess.... Was not too thrilled with it, seemed like it had a bunch of small stones and grit left over in the ash that I didnt like.

Let me know if they have improved.

After a few cooks, and a couple of bags left, will be using this stuff to start fires when using lump. No problem with flavor, but when you smother a fire to save coals, you get soft crap that isn't worth saving.
