Excellent Brisket

Got a brisket from a health food store in Orlando FL called "Whole Foods". I have had trouble obtaining briskets here locally. This organically grown beef is the most tender tasting I ever had and it was even frozen! It was the best!

I smoked it for about 5 hours and then foiled it for another 4 hours. Then I took it out of the foil and removed the water bowl and placed the grill on the charcoal on the WSM and crisped the brisket up on the smoker. Man this was fantastic!!! The grill crisped up the bark quite nicely (I basted it with the au jus from the foil pouch where the brisket had been).

Tender, tender, tender with a great flavor bark on it...you guys ought to try it!

Was it just the flat or the whole brisket?

How big was this brisket? (lbs)

Was it graded as USDA select or choice?

How much did it cost per lb?

Did you have to trim much fat from it first?

All the health food stores sell around here is veggies, nuts, granola, dehydrated fruit, tofu, vitamins, herbs and juice. lol
