EX4 Firepot Flame

So far no problems, however at the end of a cook tonight I cranked my EX4 up to 600 to burn off the days cook.

Flames shooting out the right hand side of the firepot. Never had this before, possible I might have knocked something a bit off when I was vacuuming out the pit before the cook, but not sure.

What’s the quick fix?

There's no quick fix. It's an airflow + over-fueling issue. I have hunch the pellet slide might have something to do with it. I have a smoke machine I picked up so I can test the fan at 24 volts. While testing, I'll start dropping pellets down the slide and see how that affects the airflow. I'm not sure if it's something which is easily (or even) solvable. I'll test it as time permits.

After Dave sells us all one of his designs, along with Jon Tofte.....

Yeah I am thinking a redesign of the whole structure. Leave the burning and fan away from the main area, and solve the issue at the same time. So no flame, embers, or grease issue. Still great flavor from the open design. Dave you the king.
