i thought you ment the light looking grey. if yer talkin the very dark one then thats ok. i have no problems with my wood handles. plus they just add that certain look that pleases me.

You could try painting them. I did that on my OTG with some Rustoleum HH Blk. Its held up pretty good over the yrs, though they do make some for outdoor (resin type) furniture that might bond better but not sure on how that handles HH.

They make wood handles for the Weber fireplace. I think Weber is reluctant to sell repair parts to be applied to a model that the parts were not necessarily intended for. For example, they won't sell you a ash can to upgrade a OTS to a OTG.


If you call them up and ask to buy wood replacement handles for your "Weber fireplace", I think you stand a chance of buying some directly from the source.



I just bought a Weber fireplace and am thinking about moving its wood handles to my two kettles.

won't swear by it but i saw that the fireplace handles are bamboo. any one know for sure ? i think that would be cool.

George I believe you are correct. I remember reading(possibly on the box) that the handles for the fireplace are made of Bamboo.

Thats not true I just bought the ash catcher set two weeks ago to upgrade my silver. I told them I lost my ash catcher setup when I was moving and I got the replacement parts for $23 dollars. I just tell them I either broke or lost the parts I want.
Go to the store and find the grill with the handles you want, see what the code is and call and tell them you melted it you want it replaced. Tell them you want the same dark gray one you have already. Or go find the schematic of the year and order the part. Everything I ever wanted to get I called them and they had no problem replacing or selling me the parts, and they were very reasonable. This is just my experience. Maybe if you call and act like your up to something then they think your a kook, but if you act like your having a problem they usually seem very helpful.
