ET-732 goes in and out

Just doing a HH Butt w/ my new ET 732. I'm in my home office upstairs and about 40' south of my smoker. Every five minutes or so, the ET 732 loses it's signal, and beeps until I press the sound button (even though I've got the sound off.)

After a minute or so, the readings return. Is this happening to anyone else? Is this normal?

I always seem to have weird things going on...

Mine started losing the signal when I have it in my basement. It worked down there for 5 cooks but the last 2 it keeps losing the signal. I've put new batteries in both units but it hasn't helped.

I'm wondering if it relates to when my fridge turns on and off. Need to experiment.
