Howdy...

I wouldnt risk destroying my expensive thermos by letting em sit in the rain, so i put them each in a foodsaver bag, sealed it and poked just a little hole in it for the connector.
Works like a dream and the remote can sit in the rain all day.

Now that's a great idea, Don! I've always put my Nu-Temps in sandwich ziplock bags with the zip on the bottom but some moisture always found a way to get in there.

Thanks, Don!

The Transmitter unit is waterproof (note the rubber seam in the door you have to open to get to the power switch). To protect the unit additionally I cover the transmitter with an old cool whip container and put something heavy enough on top so it dosent blow off.

I've used regular sandwich bags (placed over the top) of the transmitter many times in the rain (& snow) with no ill-effects.
