ep320 temp question

I need a little help. I have had my ep320 for a couple years now and it has been great. I ran out of propane but replaced the tank with my spare. Well it never went past 300*. I finished the food on the performer while I fooled around and went through all the standard procedure (kinked line, slowly opening valve, etc.) well it never fixed the problem. Is there anything I may have missed? It lights the first burner, seems to struggle lighting the second, and ever more so on the third. Once all 3 are burning, it makes the sound it does right before I run out of propane, but I have a full tank.

Sorry for the long description, but it is the only way I can explain. I hope the expertise that comes from this board can get me back "cooking with gas"

Did you try disconnecting and reconnecting the tank? I call it burping the tank. It seems like pressure or something builds up from time to time and "burping" the tank seems to fix it. I think what's happening is that the overflow protection is activated and slowing down the flow of gas.

Thank you Jerry for the help. This fixed the problem. I had tried this when I first had the problem but it didn't help but last night I tried again and it worked great. I had to let off more pressure then I had expected. Again thank you.
