I can't afford a One Touch 18", so what methods do people have for cleaning out old ashes from their grills? Are Webers light enough to just lift up and empty into the bin? Or can you sweep the ashes through the bottom air vent?

I've done both on my three wheeler, but sometimes when you pick up an older BBQ kettle to dump the ashes, the legs will come out.

I use a little hand-sized broom, open all three vents wide open then sweep the ashes through the vents into the ash pan. Takes a few seconds but works fine.

On my OTS, I simply sweep out the bottom vents and then empty the "Frisbee" underneath. I usually use my latex gloved hands to "sweep" the ashes out.

If I did not have the OTS Frisbee, I think I would attach a trash back underneath and sweep directly into the trash back.

I'm like M and remove the frisbee to get the ashes to the trash bin. But I have heard of people using a coffee can to catch the ashes in a OTS.
