you know what though. I used porc a fix on the interior of my WSM lid after the thermometer modification. I also had some distress under the welds for the top handle. After one smoking session at 225 degrees (never got over 250 degrees) I noticed that the Porc a fix was slightly distressed, cracked, and peeling. I also used it (this is why I originally purchased the stuff) on the underbelly of my Performer which had a small nick....it still looks fantastic there. It kinda appears that the steam heat affected the porc a fix on the interior lid surfaces. for what it is worth it appeared to show the possibility of coming off onto my food.

In my 3rd or 4th year of ownership of my OTS I noticed a good "ding" in the lid. Not sure how it happened. Certainly doesn't affect it's performance and has been the subject of much discussion. Certainly a "value added". I'd never consider replacing it. Badge of honor, war wound, battle scar, character..... call it what you will... I call it MINE!

LOL
