DIY Project on deck

Pun intended...my next project is to install a hose hydrant on our deck at the beach house. I have everything I need to do so. It's overdue and will make life easier. My wife has quite a few plants, palms, etc...and watering them is a hassle.
I will be drilling through the siding and sheathing to access the kitchen sink supply line. A few Sharkbite fittings and some Pex along with some spray foam insulation...

Here's the hydrant I went with. It's flush fit.

Anyone have one of these installed?
I received it and it's extremely good quality.

Following this thread. We will soon be adding a hose bib to another side of our house to help with watering. I was thinking about putting in a traditional hose bib, but this looks pretty slick. I'd love to see the pictures of your progress if you don't mind.

Sure. I plan on starting on it Thurs. or Friday. I actually bought it from Home Depot...there are several lengths. I got a 10" one which is likely overkill but no problem.
I have limited space to work with as the connections will be made under the kitchen sink. But i can probably move it down 6"-8" on one side. Run into the dishwasher on the other.

Good luck on it. Not my cup of tea. Just gimme a regular bib. You can easily repair if needed, all hoses fit. That new stuff to me is for the birds :D

Do you have or require an anti siphon breaker?
The other hose bibs which are downstairs in the outdoor shower do not have anti-siphon. The anti-siphon is built into the insert and twist vacuum breaker which is included but i bought one with an on/off valve. Its got the anti-siphon built in.aquor-sillcocks-cn-vb3-64_600.jpg

I've seen them on commercial jobs along the sidewalk where they are looking out for pedestrians. ( lawsuits)
One problem is the connection sticks straight out, and can snap off if your not careful.
