Dent in Premium Kettle

This might be a stupid question . Is there any way that this dent can be fixed? It’s obviously causing the grill and lid to be out of round.

I thought I had a great deal when I saw this premium 22” labeled as an original at HD. Didn’t notice the dent until I had the chimney starter lit on the grate.

You bought it brand new from HD? Either contact them or Weber.
If it was bought used you could try a right sized cut 2x4 and use that as a spreader.
My dogs knocked one of mine over and I had a similar dent.

If it came that way then try to warranty it. If it was an accident on your part then try to gently bend it into round. Being too forceful can cause more porcelain to pop. It might bend a little easier if you get the kettle warm, but make sure you are using welding gloves or something so you don't burn yourself. If you try the 2x4 method you might want to slightly angle one side so that you can slide it into position as opposed to forcing it. If it was really really out of round I have heard of people using bowling balls and other methods to correcting it, but I (or you) would have to look into that a bit more.

You could try whacking it with a rubber mallet. Just make sure you don't go crazy hitting dozens of times. Just a couple well-placed smacks should do it.

If you are a bigger guy, you could also try bear hugging it to get it back into shape.

Tim's 2x4 trick is another good suggestion.

You could also try using a ratchet strap to squeeze it into shape, just use a piece of wood to protect the metal ratchet from scratching your kettle.
