Dehydrated fruit in a rub?

I was at the store and noticed an Apple BBQ rub in the Organic section which looked like it had very small chunks of dried apple.
I occasionally buy dehydrated fruit from the farmers market for snacks, and was wondering if anyone tried running it through a food processor and adding it to a rub?

I have used dried fruit in rubs. Apples & bananas are good depending on how much they are dried. If you get them really dry you can put them in a coffee grinder and reduce them to a powder which works really good in your rub.
