De-stress bavette cook


 
Recent weeks have been stressful again. Kid got sick. Then kid got an eye infection, plus got another virus. Wife has been struggling, first weeks of thr new pregnancy have been rough. And then she got sick too this week. And soon she has the first real screening where we know if the new kid is alright.

Stressful, beautiful, stressful.

She should not eat steak for safety reason. But we both like medium to medium rare steaksm So, I am going to cook a bavette sous-vide. 18 hours at 55C should pasteurize it, and then it gets a lick of fire on the kettle.

I follow a sous vide recipe. Rubbed it with dijon mustard, and in the bath it went.

Cooking does have a way of taking the stress away.
I normally do all the cooking alone rocking out with my earbuds on.
I anlso enjoy cooking with family and friends too.
 
Yes! It! Does!
Two days after getting my wife home and cooking for her, relieved stress on both of us! Tonight, fried Cod loin and a sweet potato will make a nice light dinner.
