Hey, next time you do a grill start a restoration thread so I can follow your progress. I really enjoy seeing how other guys are doing their restos, I always learn something new.

Ok...thanks for the interest...im super critical of my work
Of course I'm interested, that's what this forum is all about. I'm pretty critical of my own work too but figure if I don't put it out there for the feedback I won't keep getting better at it. I might learn something from you and vice versa. I know I'm not the only one that enjoys the back and forth on a good restoration thread. I didn't even know you were doing any but that grill looks really nice. I would have loved to follow along on that one and I know I'm not alone.

I smile every time I see the “painter’s tape on the tire treads” trick picking up some more steam. How depressing to think that it might actually wind up being my greatest contribution to the forum when all is said and done. Ha!

Compared to how nice your restorations are, I would say no. I did steal that trick for myself though on a restoration that had really nice wheels to begin with. I'm not sure I would trust the tape not to pull off the paint on the wheels that I did that to.
