Just bumped an old three from 2013 with an update on this "Carson Rodizio". Check out the videos and website. I'm ordering one through the kickstarter link for $250 to get delivered in May. I'm not sure how it will smoke with the door open, but he says they're working on skewers with removable handles just for the purpose of being able to close the door on A WSM. I'm thinking it'd be sick on a kettle though. The frame adjusts to different sized grills, even gasses, if you're so inclined. I'm thinking you'd want that over some coals (and/or wood) for the real deal experience though.
