Cover Lid or Not When Using Weber Kettle Rotisserie?

Gonna do my first turkey friday night. my question is that do i cover the lid on the kettle when using the rotisserie?

all of the instructions do not specify.

Yes you do. It's the only way you'll have control over the temperature in the kettle.

Use the cover. Also add some aluminum foil where the ring meets the grill to close the gaps. It will make controlling your grill temp a lot easier.

I have not rotissed a turkey, but I've cooked chicken, duck, and goose on it, all with the lid on.
